Lily Turek
The absence of therapy through connection to others inspired these pieces. My darkest confinement hours were spent completing these pieces with a heavy heart. This is the time I sat face to face with my childhood traumas with no where to hide. I sat, I processed and I let it all out. Flowing through my hands into my creations until my heart felt light again.
LILGRL is a 23 year old artist reigning from Far North Queensland. Bringing the heat with her recycled skateboards, plastic pieces and kooky designs. This weirdo aims to show new narratives and perspectives of current social issues in each piece. Currently LILGRL (she/her) resides as a gay artist in Meanjin/Brisbane.
